Even in 2025, Vinexpo Singapore proved to be much more than a trade fair: it is a true global crossroads, where wine becomes an ambassador of culture, relationships and business opportunities. It is not the local market that drives participation, but the qualified presence of international operators from all over the world.
The 2025 edition confirmed this strongly: among the stands, at the tasting counters and during B2B meetings, we shook hands and poured glasses with importers from the United States, Switzerland, South Korea, Vietnam, the Philippines, Thailand, Australia and New Zealand. An increasingly broader commercial geography, but above all one increasingly interested in the diversity of the Italian wine offering.
Proposta Vini participated in the event with a stand inside the Italian Pavilion, in collaboration with Vinitalia, a strategic partner based in Singapore. A presence that enabled the company to strengthen its presence in South-East Asia, enhancing a portfolio of references capable of narrating all the richness and variety of Italian wine, from north to south.
The number of references tasted at the Proposta Vini stand demonstrated the richness and depth of our proposal: over 100 labels, covering all the main Italian wine-growing regions. Not only Barolo and Amarone - which remain undisputed ambassadors - but also emerging and lesser-known denominations received attention and curiosity: from Grumello della Valtellina to Cirò from Calabria, from Schioppettino from Friuli to Capri Bianco, Italy showed its most authentic and varied face.
The key theme of the 2025 edition was the evolution of South-East Asian markets, which are increasingly mature and increasingly strategic. Vietnam, in particular, is looking at European wine with renewed interest: thanks to a free trade agreement, taxation on imported wine will be eliminated from 2027. A potentially revolutionary change for a young, dynamic and fast-growing market.
Thailand is also taking important steps in the same direction: taxation on wine is being progressively reduced, and there are concrete discussions about easing hourly restrictions on the sale of alcohol. These are two important signs that hint at a structural opening to the conscious consumption of quality wine.
Vinexpo Singapore once again confirmed itself as one of the most effective platforms for dialogue with Asian and Pacific markets. Proposta Vini was able to present itself with a coherent image, modern, but deeply tied to the territory. And above all: it spoke many languages, but with a single accent - that of passion for wine.
