Blanc De Sers
ANCIENT WHITE GRAPES FOR A UNIQUE TRENTINO WINE
Blanc De Sers is part of the project for the recovery and vinification of traditional grapes in the Trentino territory until the First World War.
The area concerned includes the coast from Serso (Sers in dialect) to Croz del Cius, between the Fersina stream and the Predolcia woods: a steeply sloping area, exposed to the sun all day long and sheltered from the northern winds.
The historical grapes, Valderbara (exclusive of the area), Veltliner Rosso, Nosiola and Vernaza, are gradually being reintroduced to replace the international varieties planted in recent decades.
The little church of S. Giorgio is the symbol of the area and also of this project.
